“I teach because fostering youth’s love of dance is incredibly fulfilling. Assisting others in realizing their own actual potential and talents is truly exciting for me to be a part of. I bring a versatile and well-rounded background of training and experience in the following dance styles: tap, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, modern, ballet, pointe, musical theatre styles, African, and partnering. My teaching specialties are tap, jazz, lyrical, musical theatre styles, and contemporary. I have strongly developed body-knowledge and quite a bit of education regarding the physical body, which is extremely important in correctly instructing others to execute dance movements properly and safely.
As a dance instructor, I challenge and push my students in order to help them reach their fullest potential and talent, while still providing an enjoyable, inspirational, and educational class. Having toured with dance conventions as a teaching assistant and demonstrator to some of the top choreographers and teachers in the country, I bring a wide-array of experiences and influences to all of my classes. I believe in the importance of passing this versatility and enthusiasm on to my students. These experiences, along with already being brought in to teach master and guest classes at multiple studios, give me the hope to some day travel with a convention as an instructor and eventually open up my own studio.”
